Quincy ladies sweep Grandview

QUINCY- The Quincy Lady Jacks swept the Grandview Greyhounds in a girls fastpitch softball double header on Saturday.

In the first game, Amanda Rosales pitched seven innings of shut-out baseball to defeat the Greyhounds 7-0. At the plate for the Lady Jacks, Adriana Zamorra went 2 for 3 with an RBI, Julie Santos was 1-3 with an RBI, and Lesa Hearst hit 1-3 with a run batted in.

Game two saw the Lady Jacks bats get red hot, scoring 12 runs to Grandview's six, making the final score 12-6 with the win going to relief pitcher Amanda Rosales. Games two's top hitters were Lesa Hearst who went 3-3 with a single and two doubles and four runs batted in. Adriana Zamorra hit 2-3 and two RBIs, and Rachel Lindell was 1-3 and an RBI.

The Lady Jacks, who are tied for fifth place, next play the Othello Huskies in Othello on Thursday.
