Fields of Faith to feature Harmeling, Rochestie

Tonight at 7 p.m. in the Othello High School gym

Fields of Faith, an event hosted in partnership with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, will take place tonight at 7 p.m. in the Othello High School Gym.

FCA Director Dave Gowan said the event will feature Daven Harmeling and Taylor Rochestie of the Washington State University men's basketball team.

Gowan, a basketball and soccer coach at Othello High School, also said teams from surrounding schools including Moses Lake, Ephrata and Quincy, are planning to attend the event.

According to the Fields of Faith Web site, the event went nation-wide in 2006.

The event is geared toward students, allowing them "to hear fellow students share their faith testimonies, challenge them to read the Bible and to come to faith in Jesus Christ," the Web site says.
