Jason Dean Jasman

Jason Dean Jasman, 19, was a lifetime resident of Marlin, born on Jan. 21, 1989. Jason went home to the Lord in an untimely death on April 24, 2008.

His passing has left a deep void in this world to his family and friends. Jason graduated from Odessa High School on June 2, 2007. During High School, he played sports, but excelled in track and field. He ran the 4x4 relay, 4x1 relay, 200 meter and 400 meter. Jason won many ribbons, medals and awards for his achievements in track and field, and placed in both district and state. Jason loved all sports. He was the number 1 fan of the Oregon Ducks. GREEN and GOLD EVERYWHERE! However, when he was with Grandma Doris, he pretended to be a U of W fan. Jason Attended Big Bend Community College. He worked part time at Big 5 Sporting Goods store, and found time to be the assistant coach for the Odessa High School Track and Field Team. Jason left behind his father, Jerry Dean Jasman, of Marlin and his mother, Deborah Jasman of Moses Lake, one brother, Jeremy and two sisters Jana and Jaylene, all of Marlin. He will be missed by his grandparents, Edwin and Doris Jasman of Marlin, and Robert and Sandy Donovan of Silverton, Ore. He is in the prayers of his godparents, June Jasman, in California, Julie Donovan, in Colorado, and LTC Marc Stevens in South Carolina. He is survived by aunts and uncles, June Jasman and Duke Gratiot, residing in California, Nettie and Reed Austin, residing in South Dakota and Julie Donovan residing in Colorado. He will always be remembered and loved by his cousins Jared, Heather, and Zakery Smith, and Amber, Johnny, and Alexandria Blasingame, all of California. Jason was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend who will be missed dearly. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 30 at 11 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church in Odessa.
