Spring Swing golf tourney starts tomorrow

Tournament benefits Quincy hospital

QUINCY - Tomorrow offers a chance to benefit Quincy Valley Medical Center while enjoying a day of golf.

Spring Swing, an 18-hole best ball tournament begins at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Crescent Bar Resort golf course. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and players can sign up as a single, in a twosome or a foursome. Foursomes consist of two-person teams within the group.

Organizers request players specify on the form what the preferred teams will be. Golf carts are not provided and players are asked to provide their own or make arrangements with the golf course to rent one if they want a cart.

Dick Burkenpas, director of marketing at Quincy Valley Medical Center said all proceeds go directly to uncompensated care at Quincy Valley Medical Center.

Kyle Arnall and Michael Evens, event chairmen and seniors at Quincy High School organized this event for their senior project.

Food and beverages will be available during the event.
