Shayla May signs a letter of intent

MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake High School senior Shayla May signed a letter of intent to play volleyball at East Central University in Ada, Okla.

May was recruited by East Central while attending a volleyball clinic with her setting coach, Scott Davis.

The East Central University is building a new volleyball program next fall as part of the NCAA Division II Lone Star Conference.

While attending Moses Lake High School, May was a three-year varsity volleyball player receiving awards for team captain, most valuable player, and two-time All League Honorable Mention. May is currently the co-captain of the varsity softball team and was voted Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player.

Shayla is the daughter of Lanette and Billy May of Moses Lake.
