Chiefs golf takes second

MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake Chiefs boys took second place as they hosted Columbia Basin League golf teams Monday.

Teams from Walla Walla, Richland, Pasco, Wenatchee, Eisenhower and Davis took on the par 71 course at the Moses Lake Country Club, according to Chiefs coaching staff.

As a team, the Chiefs finished second behind Walla Walla with a score of 322.

The score places them third in Columbia Basin League play behind, Richland and Walla Walla.

Moses Lake's Zac McDougall tied Mike Holmes of Mose Lake for eighth place, both shooting a respectable 79. Chiefs Gabe Porter and Billy Brice both shot an 82 tying them for 13th. Colby Ragan shot an 84 for 19th place and Doug Bezzeg was 21st with an 85.

Pasco's Nicholass Smiley shot a low score of 72 nearly breaking par.

The Chiefs next play in Spokane on April 28.
