Myron W. Sutherland

Myron W. Sutherland, born Dec. 24, 1914, passed away at Lakeview Home Care, Moses Lake April 16, 2008.

A native of Fairbury, Neb., he graduated from local schools and moved to California in 1934. He worked in the mechanical contracting business for more than 40 years. During his career he was affiliated with The Rotary Club, the Mason's Lodge, Scottish Rite Body's, Ben Ali Temple Shriners, and past Worthy Patron Golden Poppy Chapter Eastern Star.

He was married to his wife, Elizabeth, for 68 years. They spent their retirement years in Modesto, Calif., and were members of the Centenary Methodist Church and Del Rio County Club in Modesto. The past six years Myron and Elizabeth have resided in Moses Lake in order to be closer to their family. Myron is survived by his wife Elizabeth, daughter, Sandra McGowan of Moses Lake, brother Jerry Sutherland of Sacramento, Calif., grandsons Jason McGowan of Moses Lake, J.D. McGowan of Tacoma, Jeff McGowan of Lake Tapps, Jock McGowan of Buckley, and John McGowan of Olympia. He had seven great -grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha Spencer. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory, Moses Lake. Memorial Services for Myron are pending at this printing.
