Shots fired during robbery

ROYAL CITY - Royal City Police are investigating an armed robbery taking place last week.

"No one in the residence was seriously injured, however at least three shots were fired during the robbery," Police Chief Darin Smith stated.

Three men, armed and wearing masks, forced their way into a Calla Street Northwest residence at approximately 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning, he noted.

The three men described as Hispanic and between the ages of 18 and 25 reportedly demanded money from the people living inside, Smith advised.

"An undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry were taken during the robbery," he stated. "Suspects were last seen fleeing the area in a white or light colored SUV-type vehicle."

Further information was unavailable.
