Carol Ethelane Lingg

Carol Ethelane Lingg, age 64, mother of two children, grandmother of six children, passed away last Saturday at 11:44 a.m. in Samaritan Hospital and entered into her eternal rest with Lord Jesus Christ.

She was born in San Francisco, Calif., on Feb. 6, 1944. She graduated from Washington State School for the Deaf in 1965. She married J. Michael Lingg (deceased June 26, 1993) and lived in Moses Lake since 1979.

She had been involved in a lot of deaf communities in different towns, tended to help other people, taught sign language courses in Moses Lake, and worked at Safeway for more than 10 years.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Sarah J. Lingg of Portland, Ore., and two grandchildren, Zessica Zethelane Gasper-Lingg and Zack Zahu McCoy, and her son, Eldon W. Lingg and his wife, Hayley H. Lingg, and four grandchildren, Devin M., Jade H., Belle H., and Ruth H., of Martinsburg, W.V.; her father, Rev. Lawrence Robert Johnson of Tacoma, Wash., and brothers, David Johnson and his wife Faye of Tacoma and Donald Johnson and his wife, Leilani of Aurora, Colo., her sister, Marilyn Kosanovich of Tacoma, Wash.; Her brothers-in-law, Dennis Lingg of Spokane, and Jeffrey Lingg of Pasco.

In addition, she had her nephews and nieces: Holly, Kari, Jeremy, Tim, Tawnya, Trisha, Justin, Tovah, and Zachary.

Memorial service will be held this Saturday at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church on 1142 W. Ivy Ave, Moses Lake, WA, 98837.
