Two arrested for 'gang riot'

MOSES LAKE - Moses Lake police made two arrests following an alleged gang riot Saturday afternoon.

According to police records, the reported riot was large and involved weapons as described by a reporting party.

Alex E. Alvizurez, 18, and a 15-year-old male were each arrested for felony riot on East Hill Avenue.

Police Capt. Jim Jenkins said there were approximately seven people involved and they fled the scene before police arrived.

The weapons appeared to be limited to knives, he said.

It is unclear why there was a riot, Jenkins said.

Police could not provide further details.
