Royal City area experiences micro quake

Seismic network reports 1.5 magnitude

ROYAL CITY - A micro earthquake occurred in the Royal City area last week.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network reported the event, which had a duration magnitude of 1.5, occurred Thursday at 12:45 p.m.

The quake occurred 8 miles east-northeast of Royal City, 15 miles south-southwest of Moses Lake and 16 miles south-southwest of Cascade Valley, the network stated.

The quake's hypocentral depth was 0.0 miles.
