Special Olympics fund-raiser set for Saturday

MOSES LAKE - Tickets are on sale for the third annual Special Olympics Washington Moses Lake Dinner Auction on Saturday.

The auction is held at the Moses Lake Convention Center. A no-host social starts at 6 p.m. and the silent auction begins at 6:30 p.m. and the live auction is at 7:30 p.m.

Guests can bid travel packages, gym memberships, handmade quilts, and other items.

Tickets are $25 and due to limited seating organizers advise people to purchase tickets in advance or reserve seats by calling the Moses Lake Parks & Recreation Office at 509-766-3603.

Event proceeds support the local Moses Lake Special Olympics program, serving more than 200 athletes.

Local volunteers organize the fund-raising effort and sponsors are still needed, according to organizers.
