Petanque tournament in Quincy Saturday

QUINCY - White Heron Cellars is hosting its fourth annual petanque tournament this Saturday at 11 a.m.

Petanque is a bowling game, similar to bocci, played throughout the world. World championship teams have come from many parts of the globe, including the United States.

Advanced players will be in attendance to teach anyone willing to learn. The rules are simple, and getting good requires practice. The tournament is low-key, however, and players of all skill levels are welcome to show up.
