Larry Brice
On Sept. 6, 2007, Larry Brice, a precious son, beloved brother, faithful husband, loving father, and gifted pastor was welcomed home by his Lord and Savior while surrounded by his family.
The third child of Bill and Betty Brice, he was born in Delhi, La., on July 4, 1955. He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1973 and in 1975 he married Shirley Tyler, his junior-high sweetheart. On March 6, 1995, Larry and Shirley were blessed with a daughter, Madison Ron-Elle.
Larry worked as a devoted employee of AmeriCold Logistics for more than 20 years and was a favorite of both the employees and management.
Larry came on full time staff as an associate pastor at Grace Harvest Church in 1998 after serving faithfully in a volunteer role for many years. Larry was a chaplain coordinator for the Moses Lake Police Department and a board chairman for Crossroads Resource Center.
Larry was truly a godly man and a genuine disciple of Jesus Christ. Larry was loved by all who met him and had a profound impact on the lives of many people around the world. Larry served as a worship pastor, elder, counselor, teacher, evangelist and mission coordinator for the 19 years he was involved at Grace Harvest Church. Larry was an instrument in helping many people put their lives back together through his counseling ministry and genuine love for people. Larry's passion for God and his kingdom will be dearly missed.
Larry was a member of Ministers Fellowship International, and belonged to a close-knit group of pastors who gather semi-annually for the purpose of relationship and mutual encouragement. Larry was also a member of the Moses Lake Ministerial Association where he made a very positive contribution to the community of Moses Lake.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his daughter Madison, his mother and father, Bill and Betty Brice; his brothers and sisters, Melvin Brice and his wife Caroline, Billy Brice and his wife Terry, Tommy Brice and Susan Jurovich, Brenda Barrington and her husband Andre', and Phaye Williams and Johnny Dixon; along with many nieces and nephews.
A viewing was held on Monday, Sept. 10, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Kayser's Chapel of Memories. Internment followed. A Memorial Service was held Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Moses Lake Assembly of God Church located at 431 E. Brown Avenue, with reception following at Grace Harvest Church, 313 Fig St.
