David Allan Lence

David Allan Lence, age 60, died Saturday, September 1, 2007, in his home in Moses Lake after a struggle with lung cancer. David was born Oct. 23, 1946 in Dodge City, Kan, to John R. and Helen Frances (Yesel) Lence.

David served in the U.S. Navy and later worked as a security guard. He was an avid sports fan, and he loved the outdoors, camping, trying his luck in the casino's, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his beloved family.

He is survived by his daughters Carmen Lence and Wanita Lence, both of Moses Lake; one son Tom Lence of Oregon; one sister Kathy Malone of Lubbock, Texas; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Charles Lence and Johhny Lence.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Aging & Adult Care of Central Washington or to the American Cancer Society.

A Memorial Service to celebrate David's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, in New Beginnings Christian Center, 318 W. Northshore Dr., with Rev. Carl Smith officiating. Inurnment will take place in Fort Bayard National Cemetery, near Bayard, New Mexico.
