Carol Lynn (Roach) Morris

Carol passed away Sept. 4, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Carol was born Aug. 29, 1951, in Clarinda, Iowa, to Robert and Ruth Roach. The family moved to Wilson Creek in 1956 and then to Moses Lake. Carol graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1969. Carol married Jess Morris in 1970 and later divorced. While being a wife and mother, Carol returned to college and graduated from Big Bend Community College with a degree in nursing. She spent 19 years as a nurse at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.

In addition to her work as a nurse, Carol enjoyed tending her many flower gardens, sewing, traveling the country and the world with her sister, caring for her pets, and spoiling her precious grandson, Josiah.

Carol's father, Robert Roach, preceded her in death. She is survived by her mother Ruth of Moses Lake, brother Robert of Moses Lake, sisters Patricia Getzinger of Moses Lake and Joyce Blundell of Moses Lake, sons Robert of Seattle, Christopher of Moses Lake, daughter Melissa Nimmo and son-in-law Joel of Moses Lake, grandson Josiah of Moses Lake, and five nephews John, Michael, James, Damon, and Derrick.

Services will be held at Kayser's Chapel of Memories in Moses Lake at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, with reception immediately following at her home.
