ROYAL CITY - The Royal Lady Knights volleyball team swept the visiting Wahluke Warriors on Senior Night, winning 25-12, 25-22, 25-20 in South Central Athletic Conference action on Tuesday.

Janae Anderson distributed 22 assists and served two aces for Royal. Stephanie Bartlett had a team-high 10 kills and a pair of aces. Tracy Iverson (four kills, six aces, five blocks), Kelcy Jansen (six kills, one block) and Amber Christensen (three assists, two kills, one block) also had key efforts for Royal.

The Knights finish the regular season on Thursday at Columbia-Burbank, a 7 p.m. tip. They'll be the No. 4 seed from the SCAC East Division and will open the playoffs against the West's No. 5 seed - yet to be determined - on Saturday at 2 p.m.

Wilson Creek 3, Entiat 1

ENTIAT - The Lady Devils took care of business in their second-to-last regular-season road game, knocking off the Tigers in North Central Washington League play on Tuesday.

Wilson Creek was victorious by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 19-25 and 25-23. Ksenja Fredere dropped in 23 kills and seven blocks for the Devils. Ashley Gilley dished out 25 assists, and Tiffany Friend served 15 of 15 with three aces.

Wilson Creek is at Kittitas on Thursday at 5 p.m., then returns home for Senior Day on Saturday, taking on Moses Lake Christian at 11 a.m.

Columbia-Burbank 3, Warden 1

WARDEN - The Lady Cougars got off to a strong start on Tuesday in their bid for a third straight SCAC victory.

But after Warden rallied to win game one 25-23, the visiting Coyotes swept the final three stanzas, 25-14, 25-20, 25-18. The loss leaves Warden's postseason hopes riding on Thursday's match at Kiona-Benton.

"It was Senior Night and we came out with a lot of emotion," Warden head coach Jeff Kottong said. "That carried over to that first game."

The Cougars trailed by five points midway through game one, but a long serving run from Katherine Martin helped them grab control.

Kottong said Burbank adjusted its blocking scheme after that, and Warden's emotional start waned a bit.

"We have a tendency after a first-game win for the wind to get out of our sails," he said, "and that happened in the next game."

Warden got good contributions from its four seniors - Kelsey Garner (six kills, 10 digs, one ace, block), Brandi Kisler (four kills), Amanda Martin (12 assists), and Katherine Martin (seven digs, two aces). Emma Bisnett added five kills and three blocks, while Amanda Martinez had 10 digs and five aces.

The Cougars need to beat Kiona-Benton on Thursday at 7 p.m. to clinch one of the SCAC East's last two playoff spots. Ki-Be won the first meeting, but Kottong feels confident going into the rematch.

"We should win that game," he said. "We just did not put it together on the court (last time)."

Ellensburg 3, Othello 0

OTHELLO - The Lady Huskies dropped their Senior Night match with the visiting Bulldogs, losing 25-18, 25-22, 25-23 in a Central Washington Athletic Conference North Division matchup on Tuesday.

Othello, which is in fourth place in the North, could've clinched a playoff spot with a win, but will have to wait until Thursday's regular-season finale at Quincy to have another chance.

Allison Walker had 13 kills and 10 digs for the Huskies. Kylee Mollotte had 12 kills and 13 digs, Kayla Dickson went 16 of 16 serving with 11 assists, and Justine Villarreal chipped in 10 assists.

Kayla Standish had a match-high 15 kills for the Bulldogs. Talia Venera added 14 kills and 15 perfect passes, Katie Kelleher distributed 29 assists, and Mercedes Chandler collected 16 digs.

Othello's match at Quincy on Thursday is at 7 p.m.

Selah 3, Quincy 0

SELAH - The Lady Jackrabbits' final CWAC road game on Tuesday was a difficult one as the defending 2A state champion Vikings won easily, 25-7, 25-11, 25-8.

Quincy's Manda Brindle was 6 for 6 serving and had eight assists. Teammate Becca Boen was 4 of 4 serving with two kills.

The Lady Jacks are back home on Thursday for Senior Night, hosting Othello at 7 p.m.
