Moses Lake finished sixth among seven 4A squads at the Columbia Basin League district meet at Walla Walla Point Park's 3.0-mile course. Moses Lake scored 127 points to finish ahead of seventh-place Wenatchee (157). Eisenhower took the district title with 31 points, edging Richland by 19 points. Eisenhower's Cody Van Debrake was the individual winner in 15:55, with Richland's Ryan Willits, Ike's Bryan Simison, and Richland's Benn Fussner and Nathan Schweiger rounding out the top five.

In the girls' race, Moses Lake's Kristin Budiselich was 23rd in 20:34. Teammates Amy Cromer (38th in 23:08) and Danielle Holle (40th in 23:55) also competed in Wenatchee, though the Chiefs didn't field a complete team.

Richland's girls won the district title with 46 points, four ahead of runner-up Davis, which had the winning individual - junior Sandra Martinez in 18:05. Janette Rodriguez of Pasco, Danielle Amparan of Richland, Shawna Schooley of Davis and Skye Pauly of Wenatchee rounded out the top five.

The Chiefs will compete this Saturday at regionals in Spokane.

Soccer

Moses Lake Christian 2, Trout Lake 1

TROUT LAKE - The Lions' boys earned a victory by rallying in their second-to-last league contest on Saturday.

Trout Lake took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break on an own goal by the Lions. But Moses Lake Christian tied it when Jae Yoon Jung found the back of the net, then got the eventual game-winner courtesy of Jared DeTrolio.

Moses Lake Christian finishes the regular season on Tuesday at Sunnyside Christian, a game that should figure heavily into the race for the league's No. 1 seed. The second and third seeds face each other on Friday, with the winner advancing to take on the top seed on Saturday.

Warden 2, Royal 0

ROYAL CITY - The Lady Cougars knocked off the Lady Knights on Saturday in the SCAC regular-season finale for both teams.

Warden's Diana Rolon put her team on the board at the 16-minute mark with an unassisted tally. Barbara Horta added the insurance goal one minute into stoppage time of the second half, also unassisted.

The Cougars had 14 shots on goal to the Knights' nine. Horta and Randi Wright split time in goal for Warden and combined for seven saves. Royal's Danni Callahan had five stops.
