Elmer Donald TenHulzen
Born March 26, 1928, in Firth, Neb., an only child, to Abe TenHulzen and Mary TenHulzen (Wissink). He was raised on the farm where he was born.
Elmer married Mildred Jean Kroon July 16, 1948, in Firth, Neb. They had four children. They later divorced.
Elmer worked in the seed business most of his adult life. He lived and worked in many places including: Norfolk, Neb.; Scotts Bluff, Neb.; Plymouth, Ind.; Fort Wayne, Ind.; Caldwell, Idaho; Pendleton, Ore.; Moses Lake; Rockford, Wash.
He married Nancy Stine, Feb. 6, 1988. They lived in Spokane.
Elmer enjoyed playing golf, family reunions, travel.
Elmer is survived by his wife, Nancy; his four children; Steven and wife Gloria TenHulzen, Caldwell, Idaho; Sue Henrichs, Portland, Ore., Dr. David and wife Nancy TenHulzen, West Linn, Ore.; Debra and husband Greg Hardy, Kennewick; his nine grandchildren; Scott Henrichs, Mike TenHulzen, Jennifer Miers, Michelle Pfand, Brian Henrichs, Melissa Schmidt, Brandon Anderson, Daniel Anderson, Nicholas TenHulzen; and 10 great-grandchildren; four stepchildren, Jeff and wife Shirley Broyles, Steve Broyles, Denver, Colo.; Tammy and Bart Cloninger, Spokane; Ty and wife Lisa Broyles, Spokane; and five stepgrandchildren.
He went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2007.
There will be a memorial service to celebrate Elmer's life on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at United Methodist Church in Rockford, Wash. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Elmer's name to American Diabetes or American Heart Association.
