Jack A. Allen

| October 5, 2007 9:00 PM

Jack A. Allen was born Feb. 18, 1950. He passed away in his home on Sept. 26, 2007.

Jack is survived by his wife Dee Dee; children Jack, Tony, Jim and Amber; brothers, Andy and Jim and sister Mary.

Jack was the proud grandfather (PAPA) of nine grandchildren; Heidi, Jessica, Josie, Becca, Autumn, Justin, Nathan, Joshua and Makayla.

Family that preceded Jack in death are his mother, Ruth Allen, father, Corky Allen, brother, Roy Allen and sister Peggy Potter.

Jack has lived in the community since 1962. You will remember him as the man that helped you in Pay-n-Pak, the man that put those beautiful windows and doors on your house through the PUD Energy Assistance Program, the man that played on your softball team or bowling league, the man that coached you in women's softball.

Jack's friends remember him as always being there, at a moment's notice, drop of a hat, standing at your side. Jack's family remembers him as a loving father and a supportive uncle. Jack would give a stern hand when it was called for and then turn around and give you a hug to make sure you knew he loved you no matter what you did.

Jack's wife remembers him as her best friend, her golf buddy, her handyman, her mechanic, her perfect man. Jack's positive attitude kept him with us as he fought cancer for the past nine years. Remember as he would say, "The glass is always half full not half empty." We will miss him with all of our hearts.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at Kayser's Chapel of Memories.
