Glorian M. Roloff

Glorian M. Roloff, 80, of Othello, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2007, at the Othello Community Hospital.

Glorian was born on Feb. 24, 1927, in Sprague, Wash. She moved to Othello as a young girl, when her father came here to work on the railroad. Glorian graduated from Othello High School where she met Robert Roloff. They were married on June 1, 1945, shortly after Glorian graduated. Glorian enjoyed life. She had many passions; her family was number one. She enjoyed playing cribbage, and she belonged to several bridge groups, bowling leagues, and the ladies golf club. She was adventurous. Even later in her life, Glorian went whitewater rafting in Alaska. She enjoyed her trips with Robert and their friends, to Hawaii and Pahrump, Nevada for golf and to Alaska for fishing and adventuring. She was a longtime member of the Othello First Presbyterian Church.

Glorian will be remembered for her love of life and for her spunk and sense of humor.

Glorian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, and her sister Corrine Lightfoot. She is survived by her sons Terry (Cindy) Roloff of Othello and Craig Roloff of Palm Springs, Calif.; a daughter Diane (Doug) Astin of Woodinville, Wash.; a sister Janet (Bob) Huson of Marysville, Wash.; a brother, Hillis Tilger of Seattle; three granddaughters and three great-grandsons.

Visitation will be Sunday, Oct. 7, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Chapel in Othello. A celebration of Glorian's life will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. at Othello First Presbyterian Church with Pastor Ron Pfeifer officiating. Burial will follow at Bess Hampton Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Chapel.
