Geraldean Farris

Geraldean Farris went home to be with the Lord on Nov. 21, 2007. She was born in Stroud, Okla., on Sept. 23, 1933, and was raised in Farmersville, La. She is survived by five children, Rosetta (Jim) Kusler of Spokane, Thelma Farris of Chelan Falls, Wash., Wayne (Kathy) Farris of Stevenson, Wash., Darrell Farris of Burbank, Wash., and Teresa Farris of Yuma, Ariz., seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brother Phillip and sister Phyllis of Calif.

Geraldean raised her children in Chelan Falls, Wash., while working as a cook in several establishments in Chelan. She also hand-packed apples at Wenoka (Trent) for several years. The family moved to Bingen and White Salmon for a short time before settling in Moses Lake, Wash., where she was a member and Sunday school teacher at the Assembly of God Church, a paper carrier for the Columbia Basin Herald, as well as a Tupperware manager for many years. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, fishing and cooking huge meals.

She was Aunt Gerri and Grandma Gerri to many children besides her own. She had a great love for all people. There was many a holiday that more than just family was gathered around our table.

She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Nicoles Funeral Home in Ephrata, 157 C St. N.W.
