LIBERTY, Mo. - Nikki Chambers, a 2007 graduate of Moses Lake High School, is already making her mark as a first-year player on the William Jewell College women's tennis team.

Chambers recently teamed with Allison Cobb, a senior from Shawnee, Okla., to place sixth in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association National Tournament. Chambers and Cobb were ranked No. 15 in the latest ITA national poll.

"Allison and Nikki have done such a great job adapting to each other as new partners in our short time together this fall," head coach Paul Worstell said in a press release. "It's great recognition for them and for our program as well."

William Jewell's tennis teams begin winter workouts on Monday, Jan. 22, 2008. The women play their first spring match on Friday, Feb. 15, in Lincoln, Neb.
