Prostitutes arrested in Othello
Two women charged after undercover drug sting
OTHELLO - Two women arrested Friday in Othello on suspicions of prostitution and drug possession appeared in Adams County Superior Court this week.
Falisha Ann Rose-Hancock, 18, of Moses Lake, and Rauline Anthonnette Silva, 42, of Othello, allegedly used a Juniper Street home in Othello for prostitution, according to Grant County Chief Deputy John Turley.
The arrests happened during an undercover sting by the Inter Agency Narcotics Enforcement Team (INET). The team is comprised of officers from the state patrol, Grant and Adams County Sheriff's Offices and Ephrata, Othello, Quincy and Moses Lake police departments.
Rose-Hancock had a warrant for third-degree theft. She was released this week on personal recognizance, according to the Adams County jail.
Silva's bail was set at $50,000 and her pretrial hearing is Dec. 3, a jail official said.
Neither woman has entered pleas to the charges, according to the Adams County Clerk's Office.
Police found about 3.3 grams of cocaine at the home worth about $200, Turley stated.
Othello Police asked for the special surveillance because of concerns about prostitution and drug problems in town.
