Richard Thomas Morris, 40, of Moses Lake, was born to Leo Thomas (Dusty) Morris and Diana Louise (Jeske) Morris on Dec. 1, 1966, in Auburn, Wash. Rich passed away on Nov. 11, 2007, in Moses Lake. In 1967, the Morris Family moved to Fairbanks, Alaska where Richard attended North Pole Elementary School and became an accomplished violinist, showing his love for music. In 1978, the family moved around to various places, but returned to their hometown, Moses Lake, where Rich attended Moses Lake High School and graduated in 1985, then continued his education at Big Bend Community College. Rich's passion was playing the guitar and singing. He spent his spare time playing music with his family and friends and loved teaching his son and nephew new guitar "licks." Rich made his living as a Journeyman Carpenter. He could build anything from wood and did numerous projects for his mom and friends, which will be enjoyed and treasured by all. He worked for many different construction companies in and around Moses Lake, Spokane and Reno, Nev. Rich is survived by his daughter, Heather, 20, son Matt, 18, both of Spokane, mother Diana, brothers Clint of Moses Lake, Tim of Yakima, his grandmother Alvina (Schmidt, Jeske) Lodoen, one niece, Samantha and nephews Scott, Chris, Dusty, Thomas, his longtime companion Julia Pitt and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Leo "Dusty" Morris in 1987 and brother Donald Morris in 1992. Rich will be missed by all who knew him, but know he's in a better place, playing music with his dad and brother and ultimately, making much needed repairs on those very busy Gates to Heaven!
