Port of Warden - 2008 Budget Hearing
Notice is hereby given that the preliminary budget for the Port of Warden (Grant County Port District #8) has been prepared and placed on file by the Board of Commissioners of said Port District, which would include the implementation of the Port's Tax Levy. A copy of the said budget will be furnished to any District Tax Payer or Voter by calling the Port office and leaving name & address (509-349-2480) or email request to portofwarden@ccser.net.
The Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday November 20, 2007 at 12:00 Noon local time at the Port's office located upstairs in Warden City Hall (201 South Ash) for the purpose of conducting a Public Hearing and adopting a final budget for the calendar year 2008. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the Grant County Board of Commissioners in the Commissioners' Hearing Room, Court House, Ephrata, Washington on Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 9:30 am.
The purpose of the public hearing is to review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from low-and moderate-income persons and persons residing in the Grant, Adams, and Lincoln County Areas.
$173,000.00 will be available to Grant County and the North Columbia Community Action Council (NCCAC) to fund public service activities that principally benefit low-and moderate-income persons.
The draft applications for the CDBG / Public Service Grant proposal will be available for review at the Grant County Commissioners Office on and after the previously stated hearing date. Comments may also be submitted in writing to Grant County Commissioners, at CDBG / PSA. Grant County Courthouse, Ephrata, WA, 98823 until noon, November 26th, 2007.
