RCW 84.55.120

AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT TO BE

RECEIVED FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES FROM TAXATIONS

WITHIN THE CITY OF WARDEN, WASHINGTON FOR 2008

WHEREAS, the Council of City of Warden has met and considered its budget for the calendar year 2008; and

BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of City of Warden that an increase in the regular property tax levy is hereby authorized for the 2008 levy in the amount of $3,071 which is a percentage increase of 1% from the previous year.

This increase is exclusive of additional revenue resulting from the addition of new construction and improvements to property and any increase in the value of state assessed property, and any additional amounts resulting from any annexations that have occurred and refunds made.

This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days after passage and publication as provided by law.

RJD Properties: Randy and Jane Dickinson submitted an application for two Commercial Buildings on October 26, 2007. The application was determined to be complete and ready for review on November 5, 2007. The proposal is to built two 4,234 square foot Commercial Buildings to be utilized as professional offices adjacent to each other, in the C-2, General Commercial & Business Zone. The sites are located at 1540 and 1550 Pilgrim Street, legally describes as Lot 3 and 4, BLK 1, Pioneer Commercial Park 1st addition. The project has been determined to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and the following development regulations are applicable: Moses Lake Municipal Code (MLMC) Title 16: Building and Construction, Title 18: Zoning, Title 20: Development Review Process.

The Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing for this project on November 29, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers located at 401 Balsam Street. All interested persons are encouraged to attend and provide comment.

Written comments on these proposals will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing. Persons who want to be informed of future actions, or the final decision, on this proposal should provide their name and address to the project planner. The final decision on this proposal will be made within 120 days of the date of notice of completeness and may be appealed according to the City appeal provisions specified in MLMC 20.11, Appeals.
