Community assistance aim of Rent-A-Jock

MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake High School student-athletes are giving back to their community through the Chief Nation Rent-A-Jock program, which will continue on Saturdays through July.

Rent-A-Jock is designed to help pay for student-athletes wishing to participate in summer sport camps. The intent is also for the students to give back to the community that has supported them well in the past. Students will perform various tasks at homes or businesses, including painting, lawn mowing and hay bucking.

Students must provide transportation to and from the job site. Persons employing the students are asked to pay $50 for 3-5 hours of work. Student-athletes understand that if the job is done satisfactorily, he or she will not be paid.

Anyone interested in hiring a student-athlete may contact Greg Kittrell, Moses Lake head football coach, at 766-2666 extension 2875 or by e-mail at gkittrell@mlsd.wednet.
