Moses Lake softball on to regionals

WALLA WALLA — The Moses Lake Lady Chiefs earned the Columbia Basin League's No. 3 seed to regionals with a 2-1 win over the host Blue Devils on Saturday.

Moses Lake scored twice in its half of the sixth inning to erase a 1-0 deficit and nab the CBL's final spot to the 4A Eastern Regionals, which begin this weekend in Richland. Vanessa Hernandez went the distance on the mound to earn the win. Alexis Ballinger had an RBI single for the Chiefs, while Shawnee Durbin added a double. Moses Lake had only four hits, while the Blue Devils had 12.
