Genie adds environmental health, safety director

REDMOND — There's a new face handling health and safety at Genie Industries.

The company hired Jennifer Swaim as the Director of Environmental Health and Safety for the Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) business segment, comprised of Genie, Terex Load King and Terex light construction products.

Swaim is responsible for providing leadership, direction and technical expertise in the development and deployment of the Terex AWP division's occupational health and safety and environmental programs.

Prior to accepting the director position, Swaim was the Environmental Health and Safety Manager for Anheuser-Busch, Inc. While there, she helped the company earn the National Safety Council Awards for Safety Excellence, Million Work Hours, Perfect Record and Significant Improvement. Swaim previously worked at Genie from 1999 to 2002, when she led the implementation of many of Genie's current health and safety programs.

Swaim holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental health from the University of Washington.
