James Robert Munds, 70, Moses Lake resident, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation Center in Moses Lake. There will be no service, however please join the family in a celebration of Jim's great life on Saturday, March 31, at the Othello Eagles on Larch street from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.

We did not know that morning what sorrow the day would bring, a bitter shock, a grief severe, to part with one we loved so dear. God's finger touched him and he slipped away, from Earth's dark shadows to a brighter day. God saw the road was getting rough, the hills were hard to climb, He gently closed his weary eyes and whispered "peace be thine." To a beautiful garden our friend has gone, to a land of perfect rest. With love and silent tears your memory will be treasured and kept throughout the years.

Jim was born on Sept. 26, 1936, in Orofino, Idaho, to Harry and Juanita Munds. He went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2007.

After graduating from Pierce High School, Jim attended the University of Idaho and Kinman Business College where he studied accounting. He also served his country in the United States Air Force.

Jim spent many years working in the accounting field. He lived in Spokane until 1974 then came to work for the P.J. Taggares Company in Othello. He then worked for McCain Foods in Washington, Maine and Illinois. Jim retired in 2003 and he and his wife relocated to the Moses Lake area.

Jim was preceded in death by his father Harry Munds. He is now survived by his mother Juanita Munds, his wife Sandra Munds, brother Glen and Claudia Munds, sister Juanita May and Bucky Agost.

He is also survived by children Cheryl Schmautz, Karen and Kevin Burgerson, Chris and Rod Wilson, Kelly and Kevin Carvo, Jon and Angie Prendergast, Cindy and Ty Spencer; grandchildren Danielle, Melissa, Janyl, Jeffrie, Amber, Chad, Matthew, Michael, Justin, Erin, Braxton, Christian, Kyler, Sarah and one great grandchild, Felicity and one due in August.

The family suggests that memorials be made to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718 or call 800-ACS-2345.
