Burdette E. Kirby

Burdette E. Kirby passed away peacefully on March 18, 2007, in Moses Lake.

"Kirby" was born Oct. 24, 1922, in Newell, S.D. to Bertha and George Kirby. He served in the Navy during WW II. He married Dona Hively on May 22, 1943. In 1978 he retired from Grant County PUD after 30 years of employment.

He is survived by his wife, Dona, a daughter, Kay and her husband, Chep Ganutt of Kennewick, Wash. He is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Ted in 1999.

A memorial service will be held on March 23, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Moses Lake.
