Ruth A. Lampi

Ruth A. Lampi passed away March 10, 2007. She was born May 15, 1934, at Fairview, Mont., to Laurence and Lydia Price. Her family later moved to Washington state where she completed her education. She worked as the manager of the Montgomery Wards Catalog store in Colville, Wash., and later as a certified nurse's aid. She was an active 4-H leader for many years, enjoyed sewing and quilt making and was a member of the Sage Country Quilters. She was also an active participant and organizer for the Ephrata Relay for Life.

She married Ernest Lampi, a U.S. Border Patrol officer, on Nov. 8, 1957, in Spokane. They transferred to various locations until retirement in 1977. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother and friend.

She is survived by her husband Ernest and son Erik of Moses Lake, daughter Marcia of Davenport, as well as her brothers Larry Price of Ephrata, Charles Price of Quincy, sister June Likes of Spokane and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Maynard.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 17, at 2 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ephrata. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Truly an angel has gone home.
