Ruth E. Leonard
Ruth E. Leonard passed away peacefully March 4, 2007, in Moses Lake. Ruth was born in Pateros, Wash. on July 28, 1914. She was raised in Yakima and graduated from Davis High School in 1932. She moved to Seattle and worked in a machine shop suppporting the war effort helping to build bombers. Ruth Married Creighton B. Leonard shortly after the war. They settled in Moses Lake in 1946 and remained together for the rest of their lives.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Creighton and one son, Jonathan S. Leonard. Ruth is survived by three sons, Edward D. Gillen, Gregory K. Leonard, and Creighton J. Leonard, one daughter, Daryl Ann Craddock as well as many grand and great-grandchildren.
Ruth led a full and busy life raising her children. She was also active in various clubs, she loved gardening and took up golf later in her life. Her husband, Creighton, owned a local plumbing business. Ruth kept the books for the company. She spoiled everyone with her wonderful meals. She loved caring for and nurturing her children and grandchildren and always thought of others first. She will be dearly missed by everyone whose life she touched.
