New hires to ensure efficient management

EPHRATA — The Grant County Public Utility District will see a few management changes over the next few months.

PUD Human Resources and Support Services Director Michael Woywod will begin serving as the assistant general manager in April, PUD General Manager Tim Culbertson said. His duties include information technology services in addition to his previous duties.

Chuck Berrie will serve as the assistant general manager effective June. He is in charge of all operations functions including two hydropower dams, power management, natural resources and customer service.

"With these changes, I am confident we have the right organizational structure to ensure efficient decision-making and day-to-day management and the ability to look forward strategically," Culbertson said.

Assistant General Manager Joe Lukas will take over the senior policy advisor position in June. He will focus on national and regional issues affecting the PUD.

"We are fortunate to have someone with his experience and ability to take the lead on these important issues," Culbertson said.
