Inez E. Rothrock-Tull

Inez E. Rothrock-Tull, a resident of Colville, Wash., passed away on June 26, 2007, in Colville at the age of 92.

Inez, the eldest surviving child of William Walter and Lula (Hill) Rothrock, was born at her parents' Rattlesnake Hills wheat ranch near Prosser, Wash., on Dec. 17, 1914.

Inez was later joined by sisters (Vera) Ethel and (Lois) Lorraine. They grew up attending country schools and Inez graduated from Prosser High School in 1934. She then worked for a time in Yakima before her 1935 marriage to Ed A. Tull. Inez and Ed began their sixty-plus years of marriage during the Great Depression. Ed worked for the Mercer and Hill Sheep Co. during lambing and then at multiple construction projects in the Northwest. Together Inez and Ed resided in Donnelly, Idaho, for three years during which time Ed became the superintendent of the electric power plant. His work experience led them to Lewiston, Idaho, where he worked for the Rural Electrification Association (R.E.A.). They later moved to Moses Lake where Inez continued working in the home while Ed worked for the Grant County P.U.D. until retirement in 1976. In 1993, Inez and Ed moved to Colville and Inez resided at the Parkview Assisted Living Center for the past four years.

Inez was an accomplished homemaker, an avid reader, great cook, and an example to others with her sense of style and honest ways. Her husband, Ed, grandson, Scott D. Cannell and three sisters, Ethel, Lorraine and infant sister all preceded her in death.

She is survived by her three daughters Kay E. Miller and her husband, John of Colville; Linda J. Cannell and her husband, Merk of Orofino, Idaho; Diane W. Miller and her husband, Chuck of Loveland, Colo.; seven grandchildren: Michael W. Miller, M.D. of Riverton, Wyom., Daniel E. Miller of Kirkland Lake, Ontario, Lisa Miller-Carr of Colville, Sandra Cannell-Alldrin of Yuba City, Calif., Wm. Casey Cannell of Chico, Calif., Pamela Miller-Chavez of LaFayette, Colo., and Wendy Miller-Muriithi of Lawrenceville, Ga,; 14 grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, June 29, at the Danekas Funeral Chapel in Colville. Graveside services will follow at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 30, at the East Prosser Cemetery in Prosser. Memorial contributions can be given to the charity of your choice.
