Ten pounds of dope confiscated in Moses Lake

Suspect reportedly aimed gun at 13-year-old

MOSES LAKE — Two teenagers talking allegedly upset a man, causing him to aim a pistol at one before carrying an 8-pound brick of marijuana into a house Tuesday.

The man reportedly found a 13-year-old boy talking with a teenage girl, who is part of his family. He allegedly became angry, pulled a pistol from his waistband and pointed it at the boy, according to police Capt. Jim Jenkins.

Then the suspect reportedly carried an 8-pound brick of marijuana into a home on Crouse Street with help from another man.

The police were called.

Officers secured the house and obtained a search warrant. Jenkins said they found a rifle, a pistol, air rifle, two replica pistols, digital scale, fake Social Security cards, plastic bags and approximately 2 pounds of marijuana packaged for sale.

The street value of the roughly 10 pounds of marijuana confiscated by Moses Lake Police is estimated to be more than $25,000, according to Jenkins.

Alejandro Gonzalez-Perez, 31, Moses Lake, was arrested by Moses Lake Police for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and alien in possession of a firearm, according to police.

Police do not believe Gonzalez-Perez took part in aiming the pistol at the boy during the dispute.

Officers are seeking the suspect who confronted the teenager. He goes by the name of Jose and is approximately 20 years old with a thin build and short spiked hair.

Police did not disclose if they were able to speak to the teenage girl to obtain Jose's identity.
