Evelyn E. Palmer

Evelyn E. Palmer, 63, died suddenly in her home on June 7, 2007, in Moses Lake.

Evelyn was born March 15, 1944, in Hood River, Ore., to Louie and Geneva (Porter) Friand.

Evelyn worked for the Veterans Administration in Vancouver, Wash., as a laundry worker for many years, until her retirement. She married William "Bill" Palmer on June 30, 1967, in Vancouver, Wash. After their retirement, they moved to Eastern Washington to enjoy the warmer, dryer climate and met many dear friends. Evelyn will be remembered as a devoted wife and sister to her husband and family. She will be missed by all.

Evelyn is survived by her husband of nearly 40 years, William "Bill" Palmer of Moses Lake; two sisters Susan and husband Allen Givens of Portland, Ore., and Carol and husband Del Huennekens of Vancouver, Wash., and one brother David Friand of Portland, Ore., and many friends.

Graveside committal services will be held in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Ore., at a later date.
