Moses Lake golfers top leaderboard at Les Schwab pro-am event
MOSES LAKE — Five Moses Lake area golfers took first place in their respective divisions at the Les Schwab Tires Pro-Am, held June 4 at The Links at Moses Pointe.
The Moses Pointe foursome of Bill Porter, Dale Walker, Ed Cochran and Gordon Corder tied atop the team standings with 133 net points. The team event was scored using a modified Stableford system. Both teams won $280 for first place.
Corder shot a 66 to lead all individuals in the Division 1 standings for 10.4 handicaps and under, winning $220 in the process. In Division 2 (10.5 handicaps and up), Moses Lake Golf Club member Darci Counsell finished in a three-way tie for first at 78, winning $166.67. Porter shot a 64 to lead the professional division, winning $385.
