Mike 'Spike-Peke' Guzman

Mike "Spike-Peke" Guzman, 46, lifelong Moses Lake resident, passed away Monday, June 4, 2007, at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 8, at the Assembly of God Church, 431 E. Brown, Moses Lake, with Pastor Mike Alvarado officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects at the church on Friday, June 8, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake.

Mike was born Oct. 4, 1960, in Moses Lake to Asencion and Mary (Barrios) Guzman.

He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1979. Mike was well loved. He had many friends and a very big loving family. He had a friendly smile, a big heart and always welcomed you into his home at any given hour. Mike had a great passion for fishing and enjoyed horse races, playing cards and was always open to a game of horse shoes. Mike always had a joke to tell.

He married Gina on July 23, 2005, where they became one. They shared many smiles and good times.

Survivors include his wife, Gina of Fresno, Calif.; parents, Asencion and Mary of Moses Lake; four step-children, Nicole, Jocelyn, Jonathan and Bobby; two brothers and three sisters, Charlie (Celia) Guzman of Moses Lake, Linda Roybal of Ore., Gloria Martinez of Moses Lake, Robert Guzman of Moses Lake, Annette Guzman of Spokane; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his brother George Guzman and Asencion Guzman, Jr.
