Wilson Creek toasts walking, bike path

WILSON CREEK — The town of Wilson Creek salutes its recently completed path Thursday morning.

The town dedicates the walking and bike path Thursday at 10 a.m. at the corner of Railroad Street and Fourth Avenue at Wilson Creek Park.

In May, as construction got under way, Wilson Creek Mayor Kathy Bohnet told the Columbia Basin Herald the path offered a chance for the town's citizens to exercise and provided a safe place for local sports teams to run.

"It's great for the people (in Wilson Creek), and it gives people visiting something to do if they feel like it, if they want to get out and take a ride," Bohnet said.
