Ice 12-U take tournament title

MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Ice 12-and-under fastpitch softball team took first place at the recent Summer Heat Tournament.

The team is comprised of Brianna Hoffman, Kassie Cram, Zhana Chandler, Gabby Alamos, Kayla Brissey, Shannell Stelter, Haley Van Lathem, Anjelica Dominguez, Kaiya Hunsaker, Kaitlin Paris and Clarissa Vela. The Ice is coached by Willie Holmes and Tom Cram.

The Ice, considered one of the top softball programs in the Northwest for the past several years, will begin its initial tryouts for the 2008 season on Saturday, Aug. 11. Tryouts are done on an on-going basis and can be specially arranged for individuals on certain days. Fundamentals are stressed for this age group.
