Unidentified men fled in stolen car

OTHELLO — Two men robbed a convenience store at gunpoint near Othello early Saturday morning.

Two men described as Hispanic reportedly robbed a female clerk at Bob's Corner at the intersection of Bench Road and Highway 24, Adams County Undersheriff John Hunt said. The two men took an undisclosed amount of money after demanding the clerk open the cash registers.

The clerk was uninjured.

The men fled in a gray 1990 four-door Honda Accord.

Deputies located the vehicle near the convenience store shortly after the robbery.

"It was found in the middle of the street with a door open and the engine still running," Hunt said.

Deputies discovered the vehicle was stolen from the Othello area, he noted.

The vehicle is being processed at a crime lab for evidence.

There is no other information available on the two suspects and there are no people of interest yet, he said.

Citizens with information are asked to contact Hunt or Det. Dale Wagner at 509-488-2061.
