GRANT COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

AMENDMENT APPLICATIONS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Grant County Planning Department is currently accepting applications to amend the County's Comprehensive Plan.

There are three types of Comprehensive Plan Amendments which can be applied for: (1) Plan policy or text change; (2) Urban Growth Area (UGA) boundary or plan map change; and (3) Site-specific land use re-designations;

Proposed Comprehensive Plan amendments are considered on an annual basis (no more frequently than once per year), in order that the cumulative effect of all proposed amendments are considered. All petitions must be submitted on application forms provided by the Planning Department.

Proposed amendments to a designated urban growth area boundary that is associated with a specific incorporated city of town may be initiated only by the legislative authority for that incorporated city or town.

Anyone interested is invited to submit an application for a Plan amendment pursuant to Section 25.12.030(b) of the Grant County Unified Development Code. Applications may be obtained and submitted to the Grant County Planning Department, P.O. Box 37, Ephrata, Washington, 98823 and must be received on or before 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2007. Incomplete applications and/or applications submitted after the deadline will be returned for submission during the next amendment cycle.

The Grant County Comprehensive Plan/EIS may be reviewed in person at the Grant County Planning Department office, 32 C Street, Ephrata, Washington 98823, between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m.05:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Notice is hereby given that the Grant County Planning Department has received and found the following land use application to be technically complete as of June 5, 2007, and ready for processing, public review and comment.
