Basin Automatic Transmission under new ownership

MOSES LAKE — The new owners of a Moses Lake business don't have many changes planned.

Jim and Grace Anderson assumed ownership March 1 of Basin Automatic Transmission, located at 2239 W. Broadway Ave. Brent and Rhonda Leishman previously owned the business, which is about 23 years old.

The Andersons have resided in Moses Lake since June 2005, when they purchased Teddy Bear Car Care, Jim Anderson said.

"All the employees that were here that worked for Brent are still employed here," he said of Basin Automatic Transmission. "The service and all those things (customers) are accustomed to with previous ownership, none of that's going to change. We're going to run it and take care of people and the customers Brent's had for years, no different than he did."
