Mary Wilson

| January 29, 2007 8:00 PM

Our beloved "Mother Mary" was called to be with the Lord on Jan. 22, 2007. She was born on Sept. 7, 1924, in Pensacola, Fla. to Joe and Willie Palmer.

Struggling through the depression, the family moved to California and settled in the Salinas Valley. The family grew, and she was the second oldest of seven sisters and three brothers.

She married William Wilson of Pacific Grove, Calif. on Aug. 30, 1947. Being in the military allowed them to travel and live in many parts of the world while raising two children. They were married for forty loving years before his passing in 1986.

Mary returned to Kittitas, Wash. where she lived until 2004. She was an avid gardener, reader, shopper, as well as being involved with her church and friends.

In 2004, she moved to Moses Lake and resided at the Monroe House which she loved, and where she was loved in return.

Mary was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was adored and respected by everyone who knew her. She will be missed!

She is survived by her siblings, her two children and their spouses, Tamara and Chuck Myhre of Moses Lake and Pat and Heidi Wilson of Olympia, her grandchildren, Craig Myhre of Seattle and Lindsay and Jared Bates of Pasco, and her two great-grandchildren, Carson and Kaiya Bates.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Moses Lake, and a memorial service to celebrate her life will be held there on Feb. 3, 2007 at 1 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First Presbyterian Church Youth Fund.
