EPHRATA — A Moses Lake woman told a judge she's not guilty of kidnapping a 16-year-old girl, in connection with an alleged plot to lure Frankie Corral Jr. in for the kill.

Christina Lee Warren, 24, appeared before Grant County Superior Court Judge Evan Sperline Wednesday, pleading not guilty to a charge of first-degree kidnapping. She's being held in Grant County Jail, with $500,000 bail attached to the kidnapping charge.

Public defender Mike Aiken represented Warren during the Wednesday hearing.

Sperline scheduled a pretrial conference for Feb. 20. A trial date of March 6 was also set.

Corral, 25, of Othello, was reportedly murdered at a Cascade Valley duplex on Jan. 2 as part of a double shooting, the Grant County Sheriff's Office reported. An autopsy showed he died of multiple gunshot wounds to the torso.

Scotty R. Slenker, 20, was also shot at the duplex, 8060 Road 4.2 N.E., court records show. He's recovering from a gunshot wound to the head.

Slenker told detectives he and 25-year-old Christian Alberto Gonzalez-Ramirez were working together when they barged into the duplex around 5 a.m. on Jan. 2, court documents state. They burst in to confront Corral about stealing some personal property from Gonzalez-Ramirez months earlier, according to the court documents.

Gonzalez-Ramirez, of Warden, was arrested last week and charged with first-degree murder in connection with Corral's slaying.

Slenker claims he was also shot by Gonzalez-Ramirez. He was interviewed Jan. 11 by a detective while recovering in a Spokane hospital. Slenker doesn't know why the gun was turned on him, he reportedly said in the interview.

The alleged abduction occurred several hours before the shooting. The 16-year-old girl was Corral's girlfriend. She told authorities she was kidnapped by Gonzalez-Ramirez and Warren.

Her abductors tried to use her to locate Corral, court records show. The girl said she was taken to an unknown residence, kept restrained and reportedly told multiple times that Gonzalez-Ramirez intended to kill her boyfriend. She told investigators her mobile phone was used to send text messages to Corral, attempting to lure him to a park to be killed. Her abductors cut her hair to force her to reveal Corral's whereabouts, she told authorities.

The girl said she was blindfolded and driven to one of her abductors' attempted meetings with Corral. She said Corral apparently didn't show up and she was taken back to the unknown residence. She was restrained in a closet and eventually fell asleep. She was awoken around 8 a.m. by one captor and told Corral was gunned down along with another man.

The girl was instructed to keep silent about the night's events, blindfolded again and driven to an area near her home and released.

She later identified photos of Gonzalez-Ramirez and Warren for detectives, naming them as her captors.

Chief Deputy Courtney Conklin said today the investigation is ongoing. He said the sheriff's office is still seeking two additional witnesses for questioning.
