Suspects remain at large

EPHRATA — An Ephrata man was stabbed twice during an altercation at his home Wednesday night.

The man stabbed in the incident, described as 44 years old, was initially treated at Columbia Basin Hospital just after 10 p.m. He was later transferred to Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee, authorities reported.

Ephrata Police Chief Joe Varick said an altercation developed at a residence in the 600 block of Basin St. Southwest, leading to the stabbing. The fight started after the resident asked the incident's two suspects to leave, Varick said.

The chief said a fourth man reported being struck in the back with a skateboard during the incident.

The suspects are associates of the resident and reportedly fled the scene. The suspects remain at large, Varick said.

The police department is continuing to investigate, he said.
