Donald M. Rosenberg

Donald M. Rosenberg died Nov. 6, 2006, in Winlock, Wash. He was 81 years old. He was born in New Rockford, N.D. on Nov. 27, 1924, to Oliver and Esther (Anderson) Rosenberg.

He attended schools in North Dakota where he also worked on the family farm. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He came to Chehalis in 1967, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic. He later moved to Warden to open a mechanic shop with his brother. He also worked on local farms, fixing tractors and other implements. He had lived in Warden for close to 30 years, before recently returning to Chehalis. Don was proud of his garden and was very meticulous about his lawn. He loved being a mechanic. Don is survived by his children: Donald L. (Crystal) Rosenberg, Sue (Mike) Pallas and Anita (David) Berry, all of Chehalis; sisters Jean Beaton of Redmond and Rosie Crawford of Iowa; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son, Jeff Rosenberg, two sisters, Evelyn and Bernice, five brothers, Charles, Lester, Lloyd, Robert, and Lynn. At his request, no services will be held. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Sticklin Funeral Chapel.
