MOSES LAKE — The board game Clue comes to Moses Lake in the form of a play Thursday and Friday.

The play is in the Moses Lake High School commons at 6 p.m. The Thursday showing is $5, and the Friday showing is $10 with dinner. Tickets can be purchased at the door or at Discovery Ford, 1140 S. Pioneer Way in Moses Lake.

The play is a "whodunnit" mystery following the visitors of a mansion, all in attendance under false names: Mrs. Peacock, Miss Scarlett, Mrs. White, Professor Plum, Mr. Green and Colonel Mustard.

"It's a board game. What's not to like?" said freshman Rebecca Gish, 14, who plays Mrs. Peacock. "How many plays are inspired by a board game?"

Freshman Meredith Heinzmann, 15, noted the play is different from the board game because the characters have personalities instead of just acting as pieces on a board.

Director Don Hendrixson said proceeds from Thursday's performance go to Masque and Gavel, and proceeds from Friday's performance go to speech, debate and drama.

The same play was put on last year.

Moses Lake High School graduate Nick Mahaney, 19, played Wadsworth the Butler last year and plays the same character this year. Mahaney said the character deepened since the last time he played him.

Gish said a challenge of the play is the randomness of the dialogue.

"It's just random conversations going by really fast," she said.
